Tony Lloyd is joining ECIA as Regional Manager North East & Yorkshire

Tony Lloyd has joined the ECIA as the Regional Manager – North East & Yorkshire. Tony entered the industry as an apprentice in Teesside and over the last  27 years he worked in the Oil and Gas, Power, Nuclear and Renewable sectors, in roles of both managing labour and IR Management. The roles have allowed him the opportunity to work at various levels, including Contractor, Managing Contractor, and Client level, gaining the experience and knowledge required to undertake this role.

Tony has a deep knowledge of the region and the opportunities lying ahead: “The North East of England has been selected as the first location for carbon capture infrastructure to be constructed in the UK and is awaiting a Final Investment Decision (FID). Should these projects receive the green light, I see this as not only an opportunity for future work, but the opportunity to regenerate local communities, bolster apprenticeship numbers, and take advantage of the possible training opportunities”.

John Simpson, ECIA Managing Director adds: “I am very pleased Tony has joined the ECIA team. Tony brings decades of knowledge and experience in the industry and the local area in which he will be based. Tony is a significant and positive addition to the ECIA team. It is a very exciting time at the ECIA, with Tony’s focus and support in this very active part of the UK, I see significant growth in the use of the NAECI and the depth of support that the ECIA can offer to the Engineering Construction Industry.

The ECIA members are invited to contact Tony for all industrial relations and employment matters in the North East region.
