Conditional Death Benefit

The NAECI 2012 settlement introduced a new welfare benefit – the Conditional Death Benefit.

This involves the payment of £30,000 to the beneficiaries of a deceased in-scope worker, on the condition that there has been no related sympathy stoppage or walkout on any NAECI site or project.

The NJC have produced a film entitled “Making your sympathy count” which aims to disseminate information about the Conditional Death Benefit   − and the conditions that must be met before it is triggered – to the NAECI workforce.

The Association has also produced a workforce leaflet which emphasises the points made in the NJC film. Whilst hard copies will be made available to ECIA  members, a version of the document is available for download now (please click below).
